The
History of Big River Camps |
|
| Big River Camps first started operation in
the early 1960's. Bob Skinner, owner-operator,
selected a remote, isolated river in Labrador to build his
fishing camp operations. The remoteness of this area
makes for excellent fishing, as Big River Camps is the only
outfitter on this river. Accessible only by aircraft
it makes for a relaxing and unique experience.
Also in the early 1960's Bob Skinner established a big
game outfitting operation, based on the island of
Newfoundland. Moose, Caribou and Black Bear are
abundant offering the hunter a very high success rate.
